Grace sessions 1

I am sorry i know you're hurt by the fact that its been almost two months without posting anything on this blog. The saddest thing that happened following our meeting with Pastor Walter is that he passed on the following weekend. He was involved in a car accident. Up to now we are yet to believe and accept the fact that he is gone.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. We are living in tough times globaly and my prayer is that God's will prevail over us. Ladies and gentlemen allow me to introduce to you our new series, Grace sessions. We will be discussing about God's grace and why it is important for us to patake this free gift, which was given through Christ Jesus. During this series we will be discussing and revisiting the Bible so as to get the clear message about grace.

Romans 6:1-2
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

God is our father and we are His children so basically our relationship with Him determines how much we are to understand God's ways. For example if a son sins against the father, this does not mean he is nolonger a son.

The father might punish the son and the goal would be to bring the best out of the son. A good son will not repeat the same mistakes that he is aware of, not liked by the father even if the son knows he can be forgiven. Same story with you and me. Nothing will ever seperate us from the love of God! No sin no anything will ever seprate us from God's love.

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. The first covenet had so many restrictions and we had less freedom. Even though the children of Israel were personally given the law, they still failed to live according to its demand. They saw all the miracles Moses did but still it was not enough for them not to break the law. Law dominated the whole book of old testament , prophet after prophet but the results where the same.

People still sinned and disobeyed God. The second covenent came through Jesus Christ after the first one had failed. Now if the former President had his own way of ruling, i am sure when a new President comes in, they come with their own principalities. Here in Zimbabwe under the late former President Mugabe the way he ruled is totally different from the current administration. We have seen a lot of changes being done to renew the constituition.

For us who lived in both eras we know the difference. Under the current leadership we can nolonger do things the old way. That is the exact same point here.
Jesus came with grace meaning that we can nolonger be made right with God through the old way(self righteousness) which came through obeying the law. By believing in Christ Jesus we are made righteous, that easy right. So patake this river of grace today!
