Grace sessions 12

Ezekiel 1:3  The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

You have the unlocking key of His voice. The four Major prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel pose a picture of the Gospels Matthew (Isaiah), Mark (Jeremiah), Luke (Ezekiel), John (Daniel).....Matthew presenting Jesus as the King, Mark presenting Him as the servant, Luke presenting Him as a Priest, and John presenting Him as the Son of God hence Ezekiel is a priest in the verse above.

Now a priest's service to God involves much more hearing from God. The word *expressly* there in the verse means much more and full of the revelation of Christ. As the children of God by faith in His Son Jesus in this new testament, we are also kings and priests ( Revelation 1:6), ruling together with him and offering priestly service to Him, therefore as Priests God has given us a special abundant provision to hear Him expressly.

Ezekiel heard God in a foreign, difficult land and period in which Israel was locked down like we are, God has a tendency to speak the most and do His best in a situation that seems the worst. Dear beloved Priest of God, just believe and prepare to hear and see the best from God in this lockdown and unlock your way into His good kingdom.

Ezekiel 1:4-5  And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

....From Judgement to Grace and peace.........The old testament is a picture or shadow of the substance, the resurrected person of Christ Jesus. So all the word in the law and the prophets should clearly spell out the substance, the resurrected man Christ Jesus. The old testament has the law and the prophets and the law and the prophets have judgement whereas the new testament has Christ Jesus and Christ Jesus has grace and justification (Righteousness).

In the verse above, the whirlwind out of the north is a picture of God's judgement, the great cloud is a picture of judgement hanging over Jesus on the cross, the infolding fire is that judgement inside of the person of Christ Jesus on the cross. The brightness that is sorrounding is the peace,  Righteousness and new glory that has come from a judged Jesus, the colour amber is the new testament church of the covenant of Grace.

The purpose of this way of seeing the scriptures is to correctly identify the finished work of the cross to receive our full benefit as a new testament church. Jesus was judged that from him you should enjoy Righteousness peace and a new testament beauty. You have been moved from judgement to justification, don't judge yourself dear Saint, Jesus was judged for you, enjoy the finished work.
